Our website design process
A lot goes into creating a new website, so it’s critical to have a project plan which works well for everyone. We have a tried and tested process which ensures a smooth workflow throughout your project.
Project Discovery
This is the very first stage of the project and it happens before we put forward our proposal to you. We arrange a discovery meeting to discuss your requirements, put forward some initial ideas and create a draft web structure.
User Experience & Design
The first (and fun!) step of the design and development phase of the project is to get an understanding of what your new website needs to look like. This includes UX and UI considerations, web structure sign-off and assets (images, videos and graphics). We can start to visualise the site and create the design.
Web Development
We present a ‘fully working’ website, not just flat images, so that you can have a true experience of how the website is going to look and function. As soon as the design has been signed off, we build all the pages, features and functionalities on the website to your specifications. This makes up the main bulk of the project.
Content & Feedback
Once we are ready for content, we add in your text, imagery and associated assets. The site comes to life as we prepare it for a full review. We invite your feedback to ensure that you are happy and then any final changes, additions or tweaks to the website are carried out, so that everything is polished and ready to go.
Optimisation
This is an important step! We make sure your website is optimised for mobile and smaller screens and working perfectly across all browsers, devices and platforms. How long does it take to design a website?
Typically, a website design project takes anything between 6 to 10 weeks to complete. However, this varies depending on the size of the project and the various ‘moving parts’ of the project.
What is your website design process?

Will I be able to edit and make general updates to my website?
Of course! We make sure all our websites are easily editable. You will also have full access to your website - we don't keep anything hidden.
